For my student teaching I was placed at Legacy High School in Adams12.  The demographics for Legacy High School: 2,230 students; 38.3% minority; 6.8% IEPS. My day consisted of three different courses with Drawing and Painting being taught three times. The class sizes varied: AP Art had roughly 12 students. the three Drawing and Painting 1 classes had on average 30 students, and Photography had 28 students. All classes have one art teacher and one student teacher, me. 

    There are many things I will remember about my time here, but most of all I'll remember the rapport I built with the students. Before student teaching at Legacy I was hesitant about the mentality of high school students, the dynamics within the classroom, and overall students' attitude for the class. It was so much better than I could ever have expected.
